| Question about Primary Election Law in New Jersey. |
|
I heard that anybody can vote in either primary in June, and then they are automatically registerd as a member of that party. But, I know people who have voted in the primary and they are still not registered Dems. Also, the party affiliation change form says that you have to send it in 50 days before the primary to vote.
So, does anybody have a link to the real answer? Just curious.
Thanks, Kire

... first hand observation from somebody who has worked with an election board on this
I know it's not likely, but the election board literature gives conflicting accounts.
Thanks, though.

| 4. You can affiliate through the county board of elections |
|
Just call them and ask -- they will send you a postcard to fill out and return. I did it when I first registered to vote.
