"The already caustic campaign was ratcheted up this weekend with a published report that a Kean campaign researcher received information on Menendez from Democrat Robert Janiszewski, a former Hudson County Executive who pleaded guilty in 2002 to accepting more than $100,000 in bribes. Corzine and Lautenberg decried the Kean campaign for relying on the words of a convicted felon.

The Kean campaign, which has hammered away at Menendez's ethics throughout the campaign, on Sunday called for "anyone who has information about Bob Menendez's corruption to either come forward to us or go to the federal authorities immediately."

"As the facts about Menendez come out, whether it be kickback schemes, laundering of government funds into his own pocket, or helping a convicted cocaine trafficker and campaign contributor build a lucrative business, Bob Menendez has sought to blame everyone but himself,"Kean campaign chief consultant Matt Leonardo said in a statement released after the Democratic news conference.
