Monday and Tuesday, that is. First time I'm doing so; anyone here have any experienced thoughts to share?

1. Give folks a chance to say they are voting the straight ticket, then get on to the next call

If you are leaving a message, go thru the script, mention all the candidate names, otherwise number of calls is important, Monday night - my 1st hour I did 58 calls with 10 disco'ed phones & 10 who cut me short and said the are voting straight DEM.

You will start to feel when someone is going to vote straight DEM. Make those calls short, get on to the next one. YOu should be able to do 35 to 40 calls an hr.

Tomorrow I may be too busy to count, but I'll keep your advice in mind. I heard someone at MCDC say that to another newbie phone banker as I was FINISHING my shift. :shrug: Whatcha gonna do? It's a busy time, everybody can't remember to tell a newbie everything; they're just overwhelmed and happy to have the help.
