Okey dokey - found out about this during the Primary - moved down here from WNY just a few years ago - and this wasn't something that was done in the county I grew up/lived in.

http://www.nj.gov/state/elections/calendar.htmlPer the Web Site:
October 29
Sample Ballots, Prepared and Mailed
(By 12 noon on the Wednesday before General Election)
Sample ballots shall be prepared and deposited in the post office addressed to each registered voter on or before 12 noon on the Wednesday preceding General Election day.
N.J.S.A. 19:14-25, N.J.S.A. 19:23-34
Question/Concern - Based on my primary experience . . . and the day the NJ Election team has to mail them out - it would appear that again I might not get this until after I vote on the 4th. I'm planning on taking the day off to make myself available to take people to the polls who don't have a ride, live in the country, etc. etc. That means I'm going to have to get up early, get to the poll at opening - so I can be free the rest of the day. Understand the timeline?
In the past - has the Election Division at least posted on their web site the ballot/made searchable by county? And/or would it be odd for me to go down to the Somerset County office and request one the Thursday or Friday before the election?
BTW - My head is still spinning that we don't get Voter Reg cards here that show our polling place - but I digress . . .
