I grew up in Morris Township, a place so heavily republican that when we moved there in 1953, the Board of Elections called my motehr and BEGGED her to work at the polls because they had trouble getting enought Democrats. Mom continued to work the polls at teh Mt. Kemble Fire House until ill health forced her to stop in her late 60s.
