| Voted in Elizabeth this AM, but... |
|
there was no one else there.
Well, OK, maybe five people for the four machines set up.
Just passed by the place again a few minutes ago and still no lines.
:wtf:
In 2000 the lines were out to the street. Even the midterm elections had more people.
What's even wierder is that this is the first time in years our "beloved" mayor has opposition. Last time, he got less than half the vote with nobody running against him.
Just so you know...
I voted straight Republican except for Kerry and the Sheriff, and I was tempted to with the Sheriff. The mayor, city council, and Board of Freeloaders are all prety pathetic. My Dem state legislators are indescribable. I doubt they'll be thrown out, but any change wouldn't be a bad one.
Had to vote Green against Payne, the congresscritter-- no Republican would run against him. Not that he's such a bad guy, but he's got the safest seat in the House, and seems to be slowly fading away into the mists of Sharpe James' all-encompassing fog. A few Green votes in the mix never hurts.
