| I just heard this morning William Weld wants to run for Governor of NY? |
|
Was running out the door for work so I couldn't listen to the details...but this guy (Republican former Governor of MA) is a New Yorker, now?

Not a bad guy, kind of easy going. He was gov. of Mass., but got bored and took another job. He's more of a liberal than a conservative, and he is originally from NY.
He'll probably win if he runs, but don't expect him to finish his term.

I seriously doubt it. Pataki isn't running again and Eliot Spitzer has a HUGE lead in current polls. Spitzer's made quite a name for himself protecting consumers and taking on corporate crooks. I think Spitzer's got it in the bag already, and he's a good choice for New Yorkers. He'll serve them well.

I'll stick with Spitzer...a known commodity here in NY.

in NY against Spitzer but it should make for an interesting race. I remember the debate between Kerry and Weld when he was running Senate and it was good.
