My internet service went out at 6 am Sunday morning and wasn't restored until 4:30 pm on Monday afternoon.
Second time in two weeks I've gone thru this. A neighbor, also with Verizon, said she noticed that the service got wonky everytime they pushed their ads for $14.99 dsl. At one point, my service was disappearing around 3 pm every afternoon.

It was back in 2001 and cable modems were unproven, so I installed both when I came back to NYC. But the DSL was never reliable and I became too friendly w/tech support. Finally, one of 'em spilled the beans.
