| Tara Wall on MSNBC falsely claimed NC debate canceled to avoid infighting |
|
Tara Wall of the Washington Times editorial page was playing pundit on MSNBC a couple of hours ago. She is a black women who was formerly at the RNC as the "outreach" communications director and now pops up on MSNBC, CNN, and maybe other places.
Following a typical discussion of super delegates, pressures on them to end the process now and avoid further damage to the party by the infighting, Wall seemed determined to work in one last claim -- that the NC Democrat Party leaders had canceled the debate to avoid further dissension.
I have not seen that claim before, so I wonder what the Repub meme is here. The only reason that I know of is that the debate was canceled because Obama would not agree to participate, claiming his schedule was too busy, probably because he did not want a repeat of the PA debate.
While on the surface this claim would seem a small attempt to divert responsibility for no debate away from Obama and slightly advance the "it is over, Obama has won, give up and quit fighting" argument that the Obama campaign has been pushing since NH. Could Wall have been pushing the Hillary is tearing the Dem party apart claims or something else?
I watch closely for subtle shifts in the RW TPs. Anyone else see anything similar? Any idea what it might mean.
