| PROTEST against visit Pres. Bush to Charlotte this thursday |
|
President Bush will visit Charlotte this thursday to give a speech about the war. Of course we'll be there to "warmly welcome" him!
He'll give his speech Thursday April 6, 2006 at 10:30am At the Halton Theater on the Central Piedmont Community College Campus 1206 Elizabeth Avenue, Charlotte, NC
Our protest site will be on N Kings Drive right across from the theater (on the intersection of N Kings Drive and Elizabeth ave.). The protest there will be in full swing by 10 am.
Protesters who come by car will gather at 9.30 am at Independence Park (on the corner of E 7th str. and Hawthorne ln.) There are parking spaces on the park's parking lot and you can also park on Park Dr., the street that runs all around the park. From there we will walk in group to the protest site (about 10 mins walking).
This is your chance to tell the President directly what you think about the war, the astronomical federal deficit and all the other disastrous decisions he's taken in the past years. We have a permit to protest so there will be no problems with law enforcement. We'll have a lot of fun and the weather will be great!
Bring your protest signs and warm up your vocal chords!
For a successful turnout we need to depend on word of mouth. So please talk about this to anyone you know, forward this e-mail and maybe call some friends who might be interested.
We'll see you Thursday! :patriot:

this kind of punishment? Not fair! The only good thing about his visit to Charlotte is I will not be there. THat would make me sick. Oh yeah, Jesse Helms has dementia too.....
