| Promoting Hate at the Peace Garden |
|
I finally made it up to the Internation Peace Garden, picking my daughter up from the International Music Camp dance program.
I was disturbed and upset that they have a a pile of twisted wreckage from Sept. 11 there as a "memorial". A memorial to what? To Bush's lies to wage war in Iraq? A reminder to watch out for "those people". So we can all slap some of those nice ribbons on our cars to let the boys know we approve of what they're doing over there in Iraq.
What the hell place does that have in a place dedicated to peace?

... as a reminder of what war/hate accomplishes?
Truly, you might be over-reacting. There are memorabilia of the attack on Hiroshima in the Peace Center there--as a reminder of what war does, and as an incentive to avoid war in the future.
Cheers.
Edit for syntax.

I thought it was more of a "hey, it really sucks when people do violent things"
go into the peace chapel and read the quotes. maybe that'll settle you down.
