not as detailed as i would have liked and the energy seemed to drag a bit in places, but very good.

I took off a half point for the rushed delivery and stepping all over his best applause lines . . . I realize that he was doing this to beath the networks' 11:00 deadline, because he had no idea if they'd cut him off (they wouldn't have, imo) . . . but, on another level, not stopping for the applause lent a sense of urgency and continuity to the speech that I think worked . . . "Look, what I have to say here is too important to take time out for self-indulging in applause" . . . and I think most people who watched probably appreciated the rapid clip . . . the speech was long enough as it was, and would have been 50% longer if he'd paused regularly . . .
all in all, an excellent speech . . . most people want someone other than Bush, and they've been waiting to learn if Kerry could be that guy . . . they found out tonight, and the only thing that will prevent a Kerry landslide will be voting machine manipulation on a massive scale . . . or cancelling the election outright . . .

I watched part of it, and thought it was pretty good, but not as good as Obama's speech.
