Dayton Area "Ohio Women for Kerry Meeting"

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 7:30 pm and we need your help.

At our first meeting we had 8 women in attendance and at the last meeting 32 showed up. That's a good improvement, but we have a lot to do.

Some of the areas in which we need help are: phone banks, voter registration, yard sign display, neighborhood canvassing, and letter-to-the-editor writing (we need to correct those Freeper letters printed in the "Dayton Daily News" each morning). The meetings are also a terrific way to exchange information about what's going on where you live and where you work.

The Bushies now have an office south of town on Alex-Bell Rd; we need to get out there and promote our visibility, too.

Though sometimes it does seem frustrating, SW Ohio is the kind of place where you'll get the funniest 'pick me up' when you're least expecting it.

Where did you live in Ohio? I still have some family in Florida, the rest of them took off for New Mexico about a decade ago. Oh, and welcome to DU!

Grew up in Y-town. Lived in Dayton for 5 years and then moved to S. Florida. Live in Central Florida now and western North Carolina part of the time. Go Ohio, I want to see you turn Blue!

I am so glad that you all are working so hard in Ohio. I'm trying here in the mountains. This election is a must little one as you know. Just think, if Ohio, NC and FL go for Kerry there's going to be a welcome home barbecue in Texas. Keep em trucking. You have learned your lessons well.
