From Thursday's Dayton Daily News:
Butler County has thrown out "hundreds" of petition signatures because of "errors" by those who circulated them. Only 24 of the 633 signatures were verified by the Butler County Board of Elections. Ken Blackwell's office says this about a 95% rejection rate, which is "quite possibly unprecedented," says someone in his office.
Apparently, the "errors" were that several petition circulators were not registered Ohio voters, and signatures for other circulators did not match signatures on their voter registration. (Example of how brazen -- or stupid -- these people were: Guy listed a Cincinnati hotel as his home address on 16 petitions, but gave a Cuyahoga County address on three others. Yeah, I would call that an "error.")
Dem Party attorney says these errors are consistent with paid petition circulators. Nader Ohio petition spokesperson "suspects" the petitions were thrown out because of "something little."
I wish I could post a link to this (especially because at this time of the morning I'm barely functioning), but I could not find it on either the Daily News or Cincinnati Enquirer sites. I tried to summarize as best I could to keep you all updated.

And I'll verify that I also read the article referenced by AngryOldDem in this morning's "Dayton Daily News".

I should have probably added that statewide, boards of election are confirming 14,473 voter signatures, about triple what Nader needs to get on the ballot.
But, the Dem attorney (Don McTigue, from Columbus) says he is challenging any problems the county election boards miss.
See, here's why I wish I could find a link.
