"Consultant takes two sides," from The Plain Dealer on Wed, July 5, 2006, by Mark Naymik:
"Veteran political consultant Arnold Pinkney, has been hired by The Ohio Democratic Party 'to help coordinate its statewide campaigns,' including gubernatorial candidate Ted Strickland’s....
"Meanwhile, Pinkney will consult for the casino gambling initiative, Ohio Learn and Earn Committee. The committee’s proposal would change the Ohio Constitution to allow slots parlors at Ohio’s seven horse tracks and two sites in downtown Cleveland.
That means Pinkney is pushing the virtues of casino gambling while promoting Strickland, who doesn't support the issue."
Unbelievable.
Are we trying to win or lose?

| 1. Arnold Pickney's time has come and gone. How is it that Chris Redfern |
|
doesn't know this?
Me thinks that the current crop of Ohio politicos just don't get it.
History: A Valuable Tool.
How do you know where to go, if you don't know where you have been????
Hence, we are trying to lose, because we keep recycling the old trying to win.

how do you keep doing the same thing expecting differing results?
It's truly insanity.

Seems to me Redfern et al are obsessed with losing the black vote since the time they alienated Tubbs-Jones with their antics at the vote for Chair.
Frankly, I find this notion that somehow all blacks are going to vote for Blackwell just because he is black, one the most racist and weirdest behaviors of leadership in a long time. I don't think they are being fed a line or anything either; I think they're paranoid on their own because of their own screw-ups.
