On Campaigning in Ohio

Many people walking through the door just want to talk and share their opinions. Many come in saying, "I HATE Bush!" Or, "We gotta get that there a**hole out of the White House!" Issues like abortion and gay marriage are NOT even mentioned. Issues like factories being closed and jobs being outsourced, Kerry won't ban the Bible and he wont take your guns away are more likely to be discussed.

I'm in rural OH, about 100 mi NW of Cols and constantly speak loud and forcefully anti-bush so people can overhear conversations -- rarely do I get a glare, more usually a relieved grin and rapid agreement.

I'm currently in one of the few places in the country you're likely to run into a bushie - San Francisco, but I grew up in central Oho, and I'll be back to knock on doors, make phone calls, and otherwise GOTV for the last two weeks before the vote.
