Anybody outside Dayton seen anything on this, yet? This is the only source I've seen, so far, that doesn't require a login/registration (pisses me off that DDN has started doing this):
http://www.whiotv.com/news/3460004/detail.htmlI've been following this in the Dayton Daily News this past week. Two young black women (anybody surprised?) have been sitting in jail for six months because even though they had alibis, nobody was able to confirm them.
Apparently, according to the DDN articles, the two women were arrested because Ms. Haliburton's mother saw somebody on the bank tape (edit: on the nightly local news) that might possibly have been her daughter and called CrimeStoppers, and Afton Cain is a friend of LaTosha Haliburton's.
The DDN story the other day said, flat-out, that the woman had an alibi, and that it had only been confirmed recently -- that's why they had to let her out. Six months to confirm an alibi? I admit, there may be more to this story than meets the eye, but if it's as naked as the DDN stories seem to indicate, it's shameful. As I say, I'm willing to admit there may be more to this than I've seen so far ...
Anybody who doesn't mind registering to login at the Dayton Daily News, or who already is registered, here's another link (I haven't registered yet because I hate doing it):
