| State Democratic Convention |
|
I'm still a newbie here, but I wanted to get the word out to as many people as I could...
The convention was held this past Saturday, but we never got to the resolutions or proposed amendments. My understanding is that the elected Dems were unhappy with the resolutions, but instead of dealing with them, they delayed and stalled until we finally lost quorum and couldn't vote anymore. So now the State Central Committee is going to select the 2nd female affirmative action committee member as well as deciding on the resolutions. This is not democracy and I'm very concerned about it. If anyone else has more information, please post it. I want to make sure as many people as possible know what's going on in our party.

and they reported exactly the same thing. I'll ask my mom to write something up, and I'll post it tomorrow.

I LOVE your signature! That's the hard, hard thing about living in OK. Most people are nice and still stop by the road to help if your car breaks down. But, then we get these awful, bigoted laws (anti-gay marriage, etc.) and I wonder. Still, it's the place I've chosen to raise my family.
