Interesting info coming to light about the ORU scandal. I found this on 11/28, don't know when or if it is updated. http://www.oologah.net/opinion.html

| 2. What you don't hear about the ORU mess is |
|
(1) one of the plaintiff's law partners is a former law partner of Richard Robert's sister; (2) other attorney's and witnesses for the plaintiff's have long term ties to the current interm university president; (3) some 20 years ago it was "prophesied" that the current interim university president would become ORU president; and (4) the current interim president "prophesied" the last major exodus of university personnel a number of years ago - while speaking at a Valentine's banquet no less.
Given the source of the misconduct allegations (a Roberts extended family member) and the fact that the source is undisputed, I have little doubt the allegations are true. The web of interpersonal connections are interesting to say the least. One might reasonably suspect that Richard's takedown was an inside job. Now that he is gone, the vultures are circling. First the Mardel guy offering a staggering donation with strings attached and now Pat Robertson's offer to partner with ORU. Be interesting to see how successful that figurehead Board of Regents is in fending off the vultures. I'm guessing there are all sorts of power struggles going on behind the scenes. Be interesting to see what finally emerges.
