I'm getting closer to moving back to Oregon and was hoping some PDXers could fill me in on the market. I'm looking for something downtown. Have the prices started to soften yet?

painting and doing some repair work in a rental right now... owner is DESPERATE to sell fast.
They are expecting to get $215,000 for a VERY SMALL 2 bdrm (more like 1 bdrm and a den) house with LOTS of issues (water damage, plumbing problems) in a neighborhood that I would be leery about moving to.
The market is still outrageous (up frickin 20% in the past year or so) but yes, I definitely feel a downturn in the market coming soon.

The 3 BR house on the corner in a SE neighborhood just sold for $505,000. The buyer shoulda waited a couple more months.
