1. If you don't live in a competitive district, work on one next door

If you don't live in a competitive US House District, please work for the election of a dem in a district nearby.

Also, the State House and Senate races are more important than usual - the people in office in 2010 will approve US House, State Senate and State House district boundaries. How the redistricting is done could cause Dems to win a couple extra US House seats, or to lose a couple.
