HOEFFEL/SPECTER PRE-DEBATE RALLY: -This Saturday, October 2nd, Democratic Senate candidate Joe Hoeffel will debate Republican Arlen Specter. The debate will take place at WTAE studios, located at 400 Ardmore Boulevard, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221. The debate will be taped at 2:00P.M., then aired at 7:00P.M. that night. To show support for Joe and let him know we want him fighting for us in Washington, please join us before the debate for a HOEFFEL RALLY. We are meeting at 12:00P.M. outside the studio in the parking lot.
-We are contacting you to ask for your participation at this important demonstration of support for Joe. There will be campaign signs available for those who attend. However, if you are a member of the Sierra Club, a labor union, or another organization, please wear your colors and bring banners. Call 412.281.6299 to let us know if you can make it. We want to make sure that a HUGE crowd greets Joe when he arrives, so please attend and bring other supporters.
DAN ONORATO FALL PICNIC: -Also this Saturday, October 2nd. Immediately following the Hoeffel Debate Rally, we will be heading to the Syria Mosque Pavilion in Springdale for County Executive Dan Onorato's Fall Picnic. This should be a very large event, and an important chance for our campaign to reach out to Democrats in western Pennsylvania. We would like to have a significant number of volunteers at the picnic, so please let us know if you can make it. You may also go straight to the picnic if you cannot make it to the rally. The picnic is from 1:00-5:00P.M.
OFFICE STAFF: -All next week we will be making a huge push to contact Democrats throughout the western part of Pennsylvania. To that end, we need many volunteers in the office to help our staff make phone calls. This is a truly important part of the campaign. Contacting voters on Joe's behalf can ensure that we have a record turn-out on Election Day to push Joe ahead of the incumbent Arlen Specter.
