| Michael J Fox Supporting Spector??? |
|
Just say a commercial in PA with Fox supporting Spector based on Spector's support of stem cell research. I realize that Spector is an ok Senator for us but it seems worlds away from his commercials he ran in the primaries against Toomey. I almost wish Toomey won so that it would give a more clear cut choice for us between Hoefel and Spector. Any thoughts on this from fellow PA DU'ers?

| 1. There is now another aspect to that race now. |
|
His name is Jim Clymer and he is climbing in the polls and taking votes away from Spector. The last I heard he was going into double digit numbers. He claims he is the only true conservative in the race.
The reason I say this is I am noticing his signs along with */cheyney signs in my area and where a lot of repugs that supported Toomey are now supporting this guy. I really think this guy will hurt Spector in the long run.
Here's hoping the new voters who will go for Kerry will bring Hoeffel along too.

| 2. This may help further splinter the repubs, and encourage more ticket |

splitting. It may work in our favor for Repubs who are tired of the mess mare by the radical fundie-neocon takeover of their party.

| 3. Specter (or surrogates) have been running a sneaky campaign |
|
with "Kerry/Specter" signs, trying to encourage ticket splitting (which happens a lot anyway). I heard that some unions who had endorsed Specter were behind it.
I like Hoeffel but he has an uphill battle. Kudos to him for taking it on, and I hope he gets a job from Kerry.
