I posted the same thing in the General Discussion: Politics forum and someone suggested that I dupe it here to see what the other people unluckly enough to be represented by him have to say. So here it is...
Last year (November, I guess) I used Congress.org to contact Santorum and Specter about the Medicare issue, which passed in December (to my dismay). Santorum sent be a lengthy letter explaining what was good about the plan (in December 2003). Since then, not a peep from him. But...lo and behold...I got a letter from him today. The letter began by saying, "Knowing of your interest in the Medicare, I am writing to inform you of actions I have taken during the 108th Congress to improve Medicare."
A few things came to mind on reading the letter...
1. He actually kept me in a database that referenced what I actually wrote him about!!!! Quite shocking!
2. I still don't like what he did for Medicare and what his plans seem to be (according to the letter).
But my question is, what are his motives?
---Re-election in 2006?
---*gulp* Actually caring what his constituents think?
Any thoughts out there?
P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Please move it if it is.

about responses. He'll tell you why he's right and you're wrong. But he'll write.

his version of why he's right and I'm wrong just helps to reinforce why I will never, ever vote for him. LOL!

| 4. Same thing happened to me today! I was so incredibly ticked |
|
off after the first letter, I couldn't stand it.
I actually said to him that I was going to do everything I could do to get him voted out of office. I spelled it out.
In return, he says, Thanks, and here is why I am so wonderful.
He just makes me puke.

| 5. I have noticed that Sanatorium always |

uses Franked mail, which has to cost us all at least a dollar per letter, and Arlen Specter replies by email. Which Senator is 700 years old, and which one appears to be a wasteful luddite?
Oh yeah, I just remembered. Using a computer must indicate that you believe in evolution. Pens and paper for that boy.
