| What's The Best Vacation Spot In Rhode Island? |
|
I'm thinking of taking a few days of vacation here and was wondering what you folks who live here would recommend as a vacation spot. Thanks. :hi:

Where are you coming from? How are you getting here? What are you interested in? What do you like to do? How much do you want to spend?
RI is very small, and it is literally possible to see the whole state in one day (not that I recommend that). We have a lot of history, from the robber barons' mansions in Newport to the First Baptist Church in America, in Providence. Eat Italian food on Federal Hill in Providence. This is the wrong time of year to lay on the beach, but you could walk it in south county (there is no actual place named south county, but we all call the area by the ocean that). Go antiqueing or see the art galleries in Little Compton. There's lots of art in Providence too, as we have the RI School of Design.
How's that for a start?

though our state is small, there are many places of interest to visit. You can go to Newport RI, see the mansions out there, see our beautiful coastline, in the city you can go to the East Side which is where Brown University and RI School Of Design is located, go to Thayer St., Roger Williams Zoo is pretty nice too. We are small but we have alot of heart!
