Dallas: All Kerry signs on my Block were taken today

The same day my neighbor across the street had his Bush/Cheney sign delivered. Luckily I have extra signs and replaced them ALL!!!!!

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate these people.

How many signs are you talking about? 4, 10?

Losing one sign is bad enough but you say you're replacing all the signs that were ripped off? Wow, that's pretty exciting.

4. My little corner of the world

They took 5 signs. Since I'm the Democratic precinct chair -- my neighbors got the very first signs when they came out in Dallas and I probably have more concentrated in my immediate area that is normal on other blocks nearby. Many dem's opted not to have signs, but when they saw me yesterday replacing the signs and heard what happened (this happened about the time people were getting home from work) I ended up with two more houses putting up a Kerry sign.

The repugs on the block seemed surprised and one old guy just shook his head, expressed destain for the people who did this and told me he would keep a lookout. One republican older lady said she'd read about sign thiefs in the paper, but didn't think it would happen in our neighborhood. When I told her the signs cost $5.00 a piece, she told me I should call the police and report it as petty theft.

Has anyone here called the Dallas police about defaced or stolen signs and what was their attitude about it?
