2. Richardo, I don't need to rephrase anything. I think most informed Americans

know what the MAJOR issue is facing this country and what's been discussed for the past 3-4 months. But for those who are not as informed as others, Ed Schultz is a radio personality who is a strong proponent/supporter of HCR. There was a guest senator at his townhall today who suggested that we notify our senators/representatives and let them know that we agree and want HCR (public option).

bombard Cornyn's office with phone calls, e-mails, sit-ins...I think it's a waste of time. He's not just any ol' Repub. He is one of the leading Repubs in the Senate, and a staunch far-righter. He will NEVER vote ANY health care reform bill by Democrats. Never. Ever. As in never. He is totally a fall-in-line Repub who NEVER votes again the far-right Repub stance. A total Bushie-Cheney. Not a trail blazer. Not a free thinker (or a thinker at all). He does what the Party tells him to do. The Party has taken a stand, and that is what Cornyn will do.

Best to spend time and money on other avenues that are more likely to bear fruit.

I contact him all the time too. He's heard from me plenty on this and the Sotomayor "no" confirmation vote he intends to take.

I've called him, Jeb Hensarling, and Louie Ghomert every day for the last two weeks. They're sick of hearing from me. I won't stop, though. There are other political ideologies than "conservative" in Texas daggumit.
