Newsweek Predicts Bill White
TX-Gov: Newsweek Predicts Bill White Will Win in 2010; White Receives Key House Endorsements

Our money’s on Perry as the victor in the March primary, if only for the anti-Washington sentiment swirling around the state. But he won’t emerge unscathed. As the primary takes its toll on his public image, doors open for the likely Democratic candidate, well-liked Houston Mayor Bill White, whose energy and planning initiatives, along with his economic management, have won him broad favor. By building a coalition of Hispanics, independents, and moderate Republicans from Texas’s growing, more Democrat-friendly urban centers, White will waltz into the governor’s mansion. But just barely.

4. Can you imagine!
How much crowing we're going to do on this board when Texas turns blue? I'm personally going to start 50 or so threads. So if all of us do 5 or so we're going to be a Texas sized obnoxious.

6. It's going to happen no matter what I say
If not 2010 then 2012 or 2014. It's a freight train coming to roll over the Texas Republican party. I'm helping people climb aboard our train.

If we can pick up some more speed and people it will get here sooner!

8. Chug Chug Chug!!! No stopping this train ! And one of the best parts is that it will
likely be powered in large part by minorities who have become the majority in the Great State of Texas. http://www.stateline.org/live/ViewPage.action?siteNodeId=136&languageId=1&contentId=48042

Dewhurst is gonna try to draw us out of power, but we will eventually triumph!

10. Progress is always slow
A progressive candidate can not win statewide in Texas right now. But as you said he's better than Pricky Perry any day.

12. We know it
He's moving over to a race he can really win. The force of money was not with him for Governor. :(

Now for more bad news - Kinky Friedman (aka FUKF) has jumped in the race against him in the Democratic primary. And Jim Hightower is advising/working for Kinky. That should make you really mad.:grr:

We have a new tag for Kinky - FUKF (Fuck U Kinky Freidman)

Go Hank!
