Saturday, Feb. 6th 2010. Nationwide Candlelight Vigil for LGBT Youth (Scouting For All)

On Saturday, Feb. 6th 2010, Scouting For All is having a National Candlelight Vigil to protest the Boy Scouts of America's discriminatory policies against LGBT people and non-religious people. We would like to make this a nationwide vigil to take place in at least 100 cities. Here is the Facebook page for our vigil in Orange County, California:

4. Boy Scouts

After much debate and trepidation, my grandson was allowed to join the scouts. His parents' thought was that they could work inside the organization for change. In his daily life, tolerance and acceptance of all people is preached and practiced. He has been in the organization for about 6 months now with his pals from school and loves it. The adults in his life have not lost sight of their goal and so I will share this information with them, hoping we can make a difference. Thanks for your information and thanks to DU for providing a forum for sharing information for events like this.
