An SBOE escapee

I was one of nearly 400 other Hays High School seniors receiving their diplomas Thursday, and on behalf of the Class of 2010, I'd like to say: Good luck to the Class of 2011 and beyond.

You'll need it once the State Board of Edumacation molds the curriculum to better fit its political and religious views. Hopefully the teachers will find a way to squeeze facts into their lessons every so often.

In the meantime, Wikipedia might in fact become a more reliable source of information than these new textbooks.

Maybe in a year or two I'll ask one of my younger friends to borrow a revised history book. That way I can learn about a reality created by bureaucrats and ideologues instead of those darn historians and experts.
