AAS 6/24/10No bond for Dallas man accused of Obama threatDALLAS — A Dallas man accused of making an online death threat against President Barack Obama must remain in custody.
U.S. Magistrate Jeff Kaplan on Wednesday denied 43-year-old Brian Dean Miller bail, deciding he is a danger to the community. Miller is charged with one count of making threats against the president.
Miller was located via his e-mail address. He was living with his mother.
A posting titled "Obama must die" turned up on a Craigslist site on March 21, the night Congress passed a health care overhaul bill. The posting said Miller was following through on his vow to become a terrorist if the federal health care bill passed.
