I will stand before a group of fellow Texans in Abilene and unveil my comprehensive reform policy to reshape the Texas Department of Agriculture.
This reform package is the most sweeping and comprehensive reform package ever proposed for the Texas Department of Agriculture and, when I become your next Agriculture Commissioner, this policy will help us make great strides in keeping Texans safe and advancing the cause of farmers and ranchers in Texas.
In a couple of hours, my staff and I will be on the road headed to Abilene for Wednesday's policy release. And, in about 18 hours, Texans will get their first chance to see what kind of reforms and changes we are proposing for the Texas Department of Agriculture.
Before we get on the road, I wanted to thank everyone who has helped our campaign come so far. From blockwalking in the Democratic Primary for us in Dallas, Austin, Lubbock and Tyler to financial contributions from folks from Denton to Dalhart, your support has enabled us to come this far.
As you know, we've got a long way to go--and I'm not just talking about that drive to Abilene. There are still several months between now and the election and we have television and radio buys, campaign travel, and field work to fund. James I'm hoping you'll help us out one more time on the eve of what will no doubt be one of the most important events in the history of our campaign.
In Unity,
Hank Gilbert
