Just got a call from the DSCC asking for money

They aggravated me 'cuz the script lead with how the money was going to fight the weight of corporate interests etc... Bad lead for me right now:grr:
I told them they could take notes on what I was about to say and pass it on.
I felt we had been sold out to the corporate interests, esp on Health Care. (My rates have practically doubled at 5 grand deductible 80/20 no coverage for doctor visits which is basically a significant drain on the family income for an 80% hedge against disaster. I am shopping around for a new carrier as we speak.) I wasn't overly thrilled with the 'financial reform' either, as I watch what's happening with my credit cards. (Are any of you old enough to remember the concept of usury rates? When I asked what that meant in my childhood, the examples look a lot like what I currently see on my statements.) I said the DSCC was sending my money out of state and my Texas money was not going out of state, unless I personally sent it there and I thanked him for his time.

It was not a good day to talk to me about how we are fighting corporate interests.:rant:

5. I've never understood the schizo way the national party treats us

When they need money, we're the best. But when it comes time for the convention, we get the shitty seating & the crappiest hotel that's the furthest away from where ever the convention is. FFS, they housed Texas in the same hotel as one of the TERRITORIES in 2008, and it was OUR work that put Obama over the top in the primary! Not to mention the constant bashing we get, not only from the national party, but here on DU.

FUCK.THAT.SHIT. I'm sooo hoping White defeats Perry because we will have done it by OURSELVES & can tell the national party to go fuck itself when they come & take credit for it.
