I saw that article too. That was very interesting. I had no idea the Texas Farm Bureau had endorsed Perry in the past.
Well I think it is a good thing they aren't giving Perry the nod since he kicked sand in their face with the TTC.
Funny thing is that they endorsed in the California race, or at least they sent money to CA for Carly Fiorina. :wtf:
Independent American 9/22/10Texas Farm Bureau PAC gives to Calif.’s Fiorina, but not to Texans Perry or WhiteIn its first major round of candidate contributions since the primaries, the Texas Farm Bureau’s PAC spent nearly $200,000 to support 126 candidates — including California U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina (R) but not Texas Gov. Rick Perry (a former farmer) or opponent Bill White, according to Federal Elections Commission reports from August.
Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst was the top recipient, getting $25,000 from the Farm Bureau’s Friends of Agriculture Fund (AGFUND). Next were Attorney General Greg Abbott and Texas Comptroller Susan Combs, who each received $10,000. Fiorina got $5,000 and was the only out-of-state candidate supported.
AGFUND made donations in several contests anticipated to be tight, supporting incumbents U.S. Rep. Chet Edwards (D-Waco), who faces Bill Flores; U.S. Rep. Ciro Rodriguez (D-San Antonio), who faces Francisco “Quico” Canseco; state Rep. Kristi Thibaut (D-Houston), who faces Jim Murphy; and state Rep. Donna Howard (D-Austin), who faces Dan Neil.
