1. I feel for Joe because he's a member of the hate party
That being said John Coby had the best og response to Joe's position:

Bay Area Houston blog 11/17/10
Then they came for Joe Straus

They came first for the Muslims,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Muslim.

Then they came for the Hispanics,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't Hispanic.

Then they came for the Blacks,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't black.

Then they came for the poor,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't poor.

Then they came for the hungry,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't hungry.

Then they came for the elderly,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't elderly.

Note to Texas Speaker of the House: In the words of your own party leader, the Christian of all Christians, Dick Cheney: Go *&^% Yourself. Seriously. You are actually whining about your party coming after you because you are a Jew? Are you kidding us?

:applause::applause::applause:

Like the saying goes - you lie down with dogs you wake up with fleas.

2. That was an excellent post
And so true! Sad that some people will strive for power at any price. Some are just fine with hanging with total corruption. Let's see how many who voted Republican will find this story repugnant and un-American.

3. Yep but the damage is done
Anyone who voted for this crew of thugs is responsible for the meltdown that's coming. And I'm inclined to hold those that didn't bother to vote equally responsible since they acquiesced to the shift in power to the right by letting it happen.

So now we're all in the sinking boat together. :grr:

4. I'm About That Sore Myself
I'm also just about as sore at the folks who DIDN'T bother to vote as I am as the people who went down to the polls and voted for the Senile Elephant Party's candidates. I've been having flashbacks since November 3rd to the 1994 election (When Dubya came in) and the 2002 election (When a lot of people chose to ignore their interests and stayed away from the polls).

Dad-blame it, I'm not getting any younger; I'm well over 50. I've been hoping and praying for a Democratic revival here in Texas and when the time of decision comes up, an awful lot of honest, hard-working people who would get phillips-headed by the Republicans respond by lying down and going to sleep.

:grr:
