8 arrested at Occupy Houston sit-in

HOUSTON (AP) — Police have arrested eight demonstrators participating in an Occupy Wall Street-related protest in downtown Houston.

Houston police spokesman John Cannon says the eight were charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass and taken to jail Wednesday afternoon. Cannon says the protesters refused officers' orders to move away from entrances they blocked during a sit-in at the Mickey Leland Federal Building.

An estimated 200 people were involved in the protest dubbed Occupy Houston ...

Four Occupy Austin demonstrators arrested

Update: Four demonstators were arrested overnight at City Hall for refusing to leave the area as cleaning crews came in, an Austin Police official said.
Those arrested individuals could face criminal trespassing charges, the official said.

Hope we have some good civil rights attorneys stepping up to help out in all the cities across Texas.
