| Could someone tell me the latest polls on Kaine vs Kilgore? Thanks |

Heck, I hope Tim Kaine wins, Kilgore seems a COMPLETE fake and weirdo. Surely Governor Warner's popularity can rub off on Kaine.

http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReportEmail.aspx?g=f47b00b3-9b6f-4b82-acc2-ed4eda949b62 Analysis: In an election for Governor of Virginia today, 10/17/05, 3 weeks to the vote, the outcome between Democrat Tim Kaine and Republican Jerry Kilgore is too-close-to-call, according to a SurveyUSA poll of 750 likely Virginia voters, conducted for WSLS-TV in Roanoke and WUSA-TV in Washington DC. Kaine today gets 47% of the vote, up 4 points from an identical SurveyUSA poll 4 weeks ago. Kilgore gets 45% today, down 1 point in 4 weeks. Independent Russ Potts is unchanged at 4%. In 4 polls since 6/30/05, Kilgore has steadily declined, going from a 10-point advantage in June to a 2-point deficit today. Election day is November 8th. Incumbent Democrat Mark Warner is term limited; the Governor's seat is open. Kilgore gets 81% of the Republican vote. Kaine gets 90% of the Democrat vote. Kilgore leads by 8 points among men, unchanged from last month. Kaine today leads by 12 points among women, up 10 points in the past 4 weeks, up 17 points from SurveyUSA's first tracking poll in June. Kaine support strongest among most educated voters, pro-choice voters, and voters in urban areas and D.C. suburbs. Kilgore leads by 61 points among conservatives, but trails by 34 points among moderates.Election Poll 10/17/05 - (9/19/05) Kilgore (R) 45% (46%) Kaine (D) 47% (43%) Potts (I) 4% ( 4%) Other 2% ( 3%) Undecided 2% ( 4%) I was just going to post this info. :)

Heck, that's awfully close though, too much so for comfort. "Too close to call", is the mediawhores term for "well the Democrat will get the most votes, but we're going to help the Repuke steal it from them."
Pigs.

| 3. The real news is Kilgore's ads haven't stopped his slide in this poll. |
|
That's what I was really worried about. The lead will probably change back and forth between now and Nov 8.

| 4. I've heard that Kilgore's ad's are really vicious |
|
NOT that I'd expect ANYTHING else from these vampires, I still remember the Chambliss ad against Cleland.
Do you think that Tim Kaine in the end can win?

Kaine keeps doing the right stuff when it comes to position, style and conveying his message.
Kilgore is the exact opposite as he continues to create negative press and articles about himself. He goes on the negative at the drop of a dime. He also has such a muddy message of "I'll hold a referendum on raising taxes." A position that would help most Republicans is hurting him. Kilgore was asked in the last debate if you would put every social and economic decision up for referendum. Which forced him to admit that he'd only do referendums on taxes. A position that shows he's not honestly going to do it in the end.
Now I thought Kerry was going to win on '04 so my political radar isn't that sharp.

Kilgore is turning people off with his ads and it looks like turnout will be down for the republicans. Kaine has a good message and if he continues to campaign with Warner, he can win.

Mark Warner's done a good job, so let Tim Kaine continue it. Virginia suffered ENOUGH under the idiots Jim Gilmour and George "Howdy Doody" Allen, without inflicting Jerry Kilgore on the good people.

| 8. They've resorted to calling registered voters now. |
|
Hell, I'm a registered Democrat and I still got one on my answering machine today telling me how Kilgore is the only pro-life, pro-death penalty running. I guess they didn't see the irony in that sentence.

|
says he has pulled ahead by 2 percentage points (47 to 45 for Kilgore), but of course that's still a statistical tie. Keeping fingers crossed for some real movement on the thing.

| 9. Just read where the new Kilgore ad... |
|
features George Allen telling folks that Kilgore helped provide an additional $2 billion in funding for Virginia's schoolchildren...
Huh? Kilgore was secretary of public safety and then attorney general. He couldn't do any such thing. It's a flat-out lie.

|
the only positive claim that I have heard Kilgore make about himself is getting 104 pieces of legislation through the GA...uh wasn't that when Kaie was Lt.gov????
Oh and this "frivolous lawsuits" thing in the AG race-what is that about ? Did these supposedly happen while Kilgore was AG???

| 13. I've read about Kilgore's ad's |

And they seem DISGUSTING and I can't see how getting Fatty Arbuckle Allen to help him out can help him out.
Kilgore's obviously desperate.
