Matches? Check. Candles? Check. Batteries? Check. Flashlights? Check. Portable radios? Check. Kerosene lamps? Check. Propane hotplate? Check. Woodbin full? Check.
It's been raining steady for the last 6 hours, so the ground is saturated. Kuow weather maven Cliff Matz says if there are large trees south of your bedroom, you might want to sleep elsewhere. Also best not to sleep on the second floor. KIRO's weather girl said it was going to be the equivalent of a Category 1 hurricane. Batten down anything that might fly away. Be safe, all. Don't drive tonight if you can avoid it.

PT here. Good luck and maybe be checking in tomorrow. Hype or reality? Don't know but can only hope for hype and prepare for reality. Flashlite attached to belt. I hate these winds. I really really really hate these winds.

The worst of it was on the Canadian side. Couple damaged trees in the neighborhood but that is about it! Stayed off computer in case the elctricity went out but it just flickered. Whew! Hope all is well in PT.

According to Q13 news, the DOT may keep it closed through rush hour, possibly as late as noon tomorrow. We still have power (obviously) but our lights have been flashing for hours. Everyone stay safe out there...
