BIG hum, power out, back on, what was that?

anyone else in WA online and/or experience this? We are in the woods, no transformer nearby. Weird noise.

1. Just a brief flicker here on the Eastside, a little while ago.

It's been pretty windy, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.
I wonder if what you experienced might have been a "planned" power out, as they bring the rest of the system back online?

2. In Oregon now--same thing happened

We lost power for five minutes. It came back on before we went for the candles and firing up the wood stove. Glad I'm someplace with gas heat, fireplaces and a gas stove.

VERY loud hum, going up and down, then power out for 7 hours. 100+ people reported in so must've been pretty local. Night all and merry happy tomorrow!

we saw a number of green flashes followed by loud humming and then the lights went out. They are still out. I figured it was some transformers blowing out though the green flashes were odd.
