| 2. Yes; there are very specific requirements. See the text at the bottom, and |
|
on the back. The entire thing has to be done exactly the way they want, or they will try to toss it out.

| 3. Bottom says can't be enlarged. Does this mean (sorry if I'm being stupid) |
|
I'd like to download and print 1 at home, then take that 1 to work and copy it to the right size. Since there would be no signatures yet, this should be ok, right?

| 5. If all of the text comes out clear, that will be fine |

As long as the petitions that have the signatures are 11 x 17, that is all the state really cares about. If the print becomes unreadably blurry because of being resized twice, though, there will be a problem. State law requires that all of the text, front and back, be clearly legible. This is to make sure that people who sign a petition are actually signing the petition they think they are signing, and try to prevent the "switcharoo" scandal you may have heard about last year in Massachusetts.
But again, your best bet would be to put the PDF file on a floppy disk or thumbdrive and take it to a printer. Or we can send you some petitions (a few dollars to cover printing and postage would be much appreciated, of course :hi: )

State law sets a minimum size for petitions at 11 wide by 14 long; any petition smaller than this will automatically be rejected as invalid, including any signatures on it. There is also a requirement for minimum type size, and we are at the small end of this already. Effectively, it needs to be the designated 11 x 17. On the up side, it is a standard paper size ("tabloid", it is called) and every print shop should have it as a stock size.
If you prefer, you can fill out one of the contribution forms with your mailing address and request that we mail some petitions to you. But it shouldn't be a big deal to take the PDF file to have it printed.

| 6. Why are we wasting time on that instead of a civil unions initiative? |
