Engine trouble on American Airlines flight from Dallas to Seattle

An American Airlines 737 has radioed the tower to indicate trouble in left engine on approach. It is Flight 1661 from Dallas to Seattle, 83 passengers.

Update: The plane has landed safely.

1. Happens occasionally. That's why commercial jets all have two or three.

2. Not a big deal; pilots are trained for that; of course it landed safely.
But the media will always make a big deal of it.
