| So Murray and Cantwell voted for Goss |
|
Sigh, what a disappointment these gals are sometimes. Thank God we have Jay Inslee and McDermott in the House.

| 4. Unfortunately -We are saddled with them for a while |
|
I certainly don't foresee any reasonable Republican alternative to either of them and doubt they would get much internal party competition. Patty is definitely the better of the two.
At this point in time all we can do is work internally to get the message across to them both that we need them to step up and develop some (for lack of a better term) vaginas already.

| 5. you know, i email them and get no reply |
|
or very late replies from Patty with milquetoasty platitudes and "i had to vote the way my real constituents (ie Boeing, Paccar, Paul Allen, Microsoft) wanted me to vote"...sheesh! I hope this is Ms Murray's last run (and term-i think she'll POUND Nethercutt, based on primary #s) and the dems have a strong viable candidate for 6 years from now...and I hope Maria finds out what Democrat means-shite-i can't believe (yet sadly CAN believe) they voted for Goss. what nitwits.

I've met Patty and she is very nice and appears to be well meaning. I have a good friend who knows Maria and he claims she is sincere as well. I for the life of me can't wrap my brain around what they were thinking here. There was no risk I could see to vote No. I sometimes wonder about what their aides and advisers are briefing them on. The Democratic Party here as a whole is far more moderate than I would like. Other than Jay Inslee, I can't think of any up and coming rising stars that are progressive and winning elections. You would think if Progressive/liberals would be in public office anywhere in the country it would be here. (at least in Western Wa) Who do we run---folks like Gary Locke, Ron Simms, Chris Gregoire, Mark Sidran, Dave Ross and Deb Senn. It is a puzzlement. We need a few more firebrands and mavericks stepping up to the plate.

| 7. Yup, neither do I, the more and more I learn about them |
|
and frankly these dems need to go spines and stop playing right into Repubbies hands...that's what a LOT of congress members are doing.

Not Cantwell though.... I don't think she met a pro PNAC vote she didn't like.
