| Eastern Washington - Are you getting radio convention coverage? |
|
I am curious, because I was in the Yakima area during the last convention, and the only radio coverage was by the local hate stations, who made snarky and degrading comments at every opportunity. The NPR station was playing classical music, if I recall correctly, but in any case, it was not convention coverage. If this is all the media coverage offered, it is no wonder Dems have a hard time east of the mountains.

| 1. Radios? Naw, we got nothing worth listening to on the radios over here. |

I gave up on radios a long time ago when we got dial-up internet and dish TV. Then we moved to town and got cable internet and TV, but we don't even bother with the radio since the reception is very spotty here in the hinterlands. There might be a local AM station in Colville, and for sure one in Omak, but except for NPR on FM from Spokane there's nothing worth listening to on a radio. Never has been, unless you're in a car traveling through. Convention coverage would be non-existent I'd bet. No advertising revenue, you know? Sad but true, radio is dead over here unless you live close to Spokane, and even then it's big doses of Rush Limbaugh. Yukk Gimme the internet where I can watch Dennis Kucinich's "Wake Up America" speech from start to finish, no commercials and no Fox commentators and no Rush. Makes me appreciate modern conveniences. Radio is for the farmers and ranchers over here. They don't listen to conventions, only the grain and feed and hog prices.
