1. It must be prescribed by your doc, physicians assistant or nurse practitioner or

The prescription allows you to grow your own. You still cannot legally purchase but under some circumstance others can grow for you. You cannot have in your possession more than 30 days worth for personal use. There is some disagreement as to what the legally allowed quantity is. The legislature amended the law to clear up that question but the courts have issued conflicting rulings.
