Car Vandalized Because of Political Bumper Sticker

"A local woman claims someone vandalized her car because of a Kerry-Edwards campaign sticker in her back window.

Joni Job told KOMO 4 News someone put a confederate flag alongside her sticker. They also used red paint to write "Bush in 2004" on her passenger side door.

Job says the vandals also dented her car, causing hundreds of dollars in damage."

I saw the damage to her car on the local evening news - it was a huge dent. I just caught the tail end of the segment but from what I saw the woman came accross as credible.

I live in a red area but have had no problem. Well, once there were two rednecks tailing me on purpose but...
On the other hand, I often feel the urge to pelt my neighbor's Bush signs with rotton eggs. But that's where it stops...at the urge. These neanderthals on the other side have no restraint and no respect for others. And the GOP would love to take us back to this type of lynch-mob mentality.

11. Personally I find this story hard to believe...

There are a couple of points about this story that lead me to believe the woman did this herself and is just seeking attention.

The first point is that I saw a picture of the damage to her car somewhere. The "red paint" looked very similar to lipstick to me. Either that or someone painted it with a thin paint brush. It definetely wasn't spray paint and I can't imagine someone carrying around a can of paint and a brush.

The second point is that I work in Fremont and I doubt there is any part of the city that has more support for Kerry than that neighborhood. Kerry signs and stickers are everywhere. There is a car parked on 34th by the canal that must have 2 dozen Kerry/anti-Bush/anti-war stickers of one flavor or another. If the woman had claimed this happened in another part of town I *might* believe it, but most definetely not in Fremont.

One final point is that I am 32 and have lived in the Seattle area my entire life. In all my time here I don't think I have ever seen a confederate flag.

has cameras and so the fuck what if the 'paint' used looks like lipstick to you in a third generation image? i have sharpies and broad-tipped magic markers. some of them have an opaque ink in them that look like paint.

I've lived here all my life too and I'm 50. assholes are not confined to one part of town. i HAVE seen confederate flags in the outlying areas. sometimes those assholes make it into the big city. but who says the assholes who fucked up her car have confederate flags on theirs?

i yahooed her name and she is a business woman. i saw her on TV and she appeared to be fairly straight and not given to histrionics.

i would guess this was a stupid kid hanging out in Fremont, maybe doing it on a dare...

uses the N word and refuses to shop at Cost Cutter (Food Pavillion) because he apparently HEARD they are Democratic. Ookay!
