Andrea Ramirez, wearing a black Ramones shirt, was kneeling in a thicket of grief.
Moments before, on an evening last week, she'd been walking through the Seattle Center on her way home from work, her mind filled with the tangled threads of thoughts of her job, of stuff to be picked up at the supermarket, of calls yet to be returned.
Then she stopped in her tracks. The distractions of life were swept away.
A 25-foot-tall monument rose before her at Fisher Pavilion -- a tower of wood, looking somewhat like a shrine. It's a memorial built by some who knew the six young people gunned down by Kyle Huff after a late-night party March 25 on Capitol Hill.
