| Whatcom County election observers needed |
|
CALLING LOCAL DEMOCRATS . . . . Can You Help Preserve the Integrity of Our Local Elections? To: All PCOs and Whatcom County Democrats, and 40th LD Whatcom County Democrats From: Roni Beall RE: This email announces the next chance to become a trained election observer. The 1-hour Political Party Observer Training will be at 3 p.m., October 18, at the Whatcom County Courthouse (Room 514).
Note: We need to let Ms. Forslof know how many will be attending in advance, so please respond by email to me or call me at 756-1405 as soon as possible. Note: Participants will go through courthouse screening as the class will be held in the 5th floor conference room. WHO NEEDS TO ATTEND? All election observers trained before vote-by-mail plus anyone else who can make the training and commit to devoting even a few hours to election observing for the November and/or future elections. You also have the opportunity to attend training which may be provided by the Secretary of State, however this will not replace the training provided by our county auditor, and will not be offered unless enough people sign up by September 29 . Neither the date nor the location of the training has been determined making this a true long shot. Those wishing to take the Secretary of State training should download and return the attached application directly to the Secretary of State by September 29, and then will be notified of the training details. Thanks for stepping up if you possibly can. We really should have more depth in our roster of election observers. Sincerely, Roni Beall (Democratic Representative to Whatcom Fair Voting and the Citizen's Election Advisory Committee)
