I live in the 43rd, smack in the middle of Capitol Hill. The GOP would be asking for a whole heap of trouble if they tried anti equal marriage calls to me or any of my neighbors. :evilgrin:

We're a moderate to conservative district. It was my (well he was from my district but I never voted for the guy) Republican Representative Bill Thompson who sponsered the State's so called Defense of Marraige Act. He was defeated in 1998 by now Representative John Lovick Democrat.
Voters in my district felt the Thompson spent too much time on anti-gay issues on not enough on issues that really mattered.

Whoever the hell they are.
The recording is of a woman's voice who identifies herself as Cathy MacDonald. She says families are threatened because if Democrats retain control of the State Legislature they'll repeal the state's defense of marriage act.
