West Virginia Democratic Rally 08/11/06 at Waterways Park

The Boone County Democratic Executive Committee conducted a rally yesterday at Waterways Park, which is 20 miles south of Charleston in Boone County. The rally was attended by Nick Casey, chairman of the West Virginia Democratic Party.

Casey encouraged attendees to get as many as possible to the polls in November, to vote a straight Democratic ticket.

Hot dogs and pop were provided. Participants enjoyed the live country music of Vince Rayburn and Branded X, and the use of the water park’s facilities - all were compliments of the Boone County Democratic Executive Committee.

I was going to take a photo of the bumper stickers on the back of my pickup but decided this one was much better. There’s that guy again who kept sneaking into the pictures. My cousin Mack is pointing out his favorite sticker. It says, “Bush voters: sorry yet?”

3. No but will probably be at the Charleston one today.

4. Was that the one at the Charleston AFL/CIO place with Senator Byrd?

I wish I could have gone. The needs of my parents, and those of my Commander's parents, often keep me close to home.

It was so hot and I had farmwork to do at home I headed back to Cabell Co before he spoke.
