Anybody else get the obscene phone call from the Shrubster

suggesting we register for absentee ballots? Got mine today here in Appleton. Also got a call from the local Repug phone bank - did I support Whistle Ass - am I pro choice/life/indifferent. They haven't been at the door yet though. Maybe it's my Kerry/Edwards and Feingold yard signs.

Didn't all the absentee votes for Wellstone get wasted after he died? I don't think Kerry is in danger, but perhaps a local race is close, and something may happen to invalidate the vote. Or it's easier to miscount the absentee ballots. In Florida I seem to remember that they filled in missing information on the Republican absentee votes, but disqualified any Democratic ballot with the slightest thing wrong.

At this stage I wouldn't put anything past them. Maybe someone local could look into this further. My advice is - don't do it.
